Instructions for SEISS grant eligibility check and Government Gateway

We have made some instructions for checking if you are eligible to claim the Self-Employed Income Support Scheme grant, and when you can do this from. You will need your UTR and NI number for this. You will need a Government Gateway account in order to claim, so the slideshow below covers that too. This requires a form of identification, a passport or driving licence is the simplest option. If you have any problems, please get in touch.

Bounce Back Loans scheme

The government have launched Bounce Back Loans, these are covered by the Treasury. Loans are available for up to a quarter of your business turnover, from £2,000 to £50,000. The link below shows how to apply. If you have a problem or want advice at any stage, please get in touch.

Business Rates Grants

Councils should now have contacted all businesses which are eligible for financial support through the Small Business Grants Fund but if you have not heard from them, or need help with claiming, please get in touch. Self-employed Income Support Scheme

The government have now updated details of the self-employed grant for those whose business has been affected by coronavirus Covid-19. You can now check if you are eligible to claim, please check via this link. You will need to make an online account with HMRC if you do not already have one. Business Rates and Grants Assistance

UPDATE: Most councils now have a form to enter bank details if they do not currently have them. Please check with your local council’s website if you are eligible, and if you would prefer to receive your grant by bank transfer rather than a cheque.

Councils are providing rates relief and business grants. Each council should contact you and give the relevant information automatically, however you can check with your council and add information if they request it to speed up the process.
